Boozy Dinners
Jessica and Sebastian met each other at UPenn, as Jessica was joining the professional business fraternity of which Sebastian was a member. Jessica thought at first that Sebastian was interested in another friend, but when her plans to set them up broke down, she ended up across the table from him over a meal and wine herself.
Several boozy dinners later, they went on their first official date to the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, the photos from which Jessica accidentally broadcast to their entire fraternity listserv - so much for "just friends"!
Frozen Dinners
Eventually, Jessica graduated and moved to New York City, and both her and Sebastian became uncomfortably familiar with the Bolt Bus service running between NYC and Philly. When Sebastian finally graduated as well, they began their current arrangement of Sebastian being in NYC one half of every month, and in London for work the other half, which they both found was (exactly) a 100% improvement.
As time passed and they grew and learned together, Jessica introduced Sebastian to some of the finer things in life, like the convenience of frozen dinners and the luxury of hand lotion. Sebastian returned the favors by teaching Jessica the importance of correct lapels on suits and introducing her to reddit.com/r/aww.
Proposal Dinner
Sebastian knew from early on that Jessica was the one, so the only thing left was planning how and when to propose. When the time was right, he surprised her with a mysterious box, a note inside, telling her to get dressed for dinner out on the town. As Jessica was getting ready, a second box appeared, inviting her to join Sebastian in the living room for some champagne. She came downstairs to find the living room beautifully and romantically decorated, along with Sebastian holding a third box. Another note and some sweet words later, they were engaged and went out to celebrate!
After one evening recovering from their revelry with some Indian takeout, the couple spent the rest of the weekend together attending a performance at the New York Philharmonic, enjoying a massage, and dining and drinks at some old, favorite NYC haunts.
